Only Sauron was not shape-shifting into his fluffy werewolf form there but it just... somehow happened while I was working on this, he just looked better that way idk... /fails I don't think Melkor minds though XD
I am still mostly happy only with how Melkor turned out but I'll just stop trying to fix it. So here you go, do enjoy some flames of Ainu passion! Also, it kind of looks like a heart from a distance doesn't it? XD
As to the title, there's fire all around them, fire in Melkor's hair but also... that fire in Sauron's heart (that Melkor does not fathom)! XD

And yes, we have kind of role reversal, with pretty Melkor (though he's still rather muscular despite being lean, at least should be, I just suck at drawing XD!) and butch Sauron with lots of chest hair XDDDDD Here even more chest hair because for reasons completely unknown to me I couldn't get him right while drawing so he ended up a werewolf. I suppose his form might have flickered there anyway, between different shapes. It's so sad that Melkor is at that time already locked in one body, while Sauron is still fully one of the Ainur and keeps the qualities of one. It all really makes us think there must have been a lot of loyalty involved, when their power balance shifted and Melkor being so weak an elf (Noldor king ok, but still an elf) could deal him such wounds. Because if it was fear or evil plotting that bound Sauron to Melkor like in all the fics that were there when we started writing loyalty (there was back then not a single fic relating to Phobs sauron, now they start to appear like mushrooms after the rain XDDD) then Sauron wouldn't have stayed by Melkor's side, or even he would try to overthrow him.
Ok I shut up, asjhdkashd but I'm so happy that you're reading XD Each reader is like an event to us, especially since not many admit they're reading and they're just lurking forever :c
I don't mind really that he turned out to look like werewolf!Sauron in this. It's still hawt. uwu And yes I definitely get that part, that Sauron would have had to be utterly, devotedly loyal to Melkor (one more reason I love your fic because of how you've shown Sauron's thoughts and feels towards Melkor and everything in general <3) else he would have tried to overpower him, yeah. You've basically said everything so I'm just here repeating what you've said and I'm lame because I type out much shorter replies. :<
